Gratitude is not a noun, but a verb, because it requires us to be thankful, to show thanks, and to thank our Father in Heaven for what we have.
It is an expression of faith when we show the Lord that we acknowledge and are thankful for the blessings that we do have.
It is not sitting by as we go through the mundane things of life, but it is seeking out the beauty that exists, the beauty that the Lord has placed in our lives to show His love for us.
It should never be just this week, this holiday that we show our gratitude. Instead, we need to do as Amulek directs:
"…Live in thanksgiving daily for the many mercies and blessings which [God] doth bestow upon you."
