Anxiously Engaged

We can't merely stand on the sidelines when we are meant to play the game. Life is all about facing our own challenges. Sure, we fall, and it hurts. But we need to be anxiously engaged in getting back up, in progressing, and in gaining strength through our Lord and Savior. Only through Him will we find the strength to continue to play our divine part.

Anxiously engaged is devoting yourself to the game, is living your life the best you can to fulfill your divine and important purpose on this earth, whatever that may be. Elder Maxwell even challenges us to be personally engaged, meaning that we are putting our whole souls into what we are doing.

So what are you waiting for? Stop standing idly by and jump right in. You can do this.

"For behold it is not meet that I should command in all things; for he that is compelled in all things, the same is a slothful and not a wise servant; wherefore, he receiveth no reward. Verily I say, men should be anxiously engaged in a good cause, and do many things of their own free will, and bring to pass much righteousness; for the power is in them, wherein they are agents unto themselves. And inasmuch as men do good they shall in nowise lose their reward."
