Word of the Week: Always

"Footprints in the Sand" by Mary Stevenson

The Lord is always with us. Always, meaning that He is with us every step of the way, that He never leaves our side, that He will lift us up and help us do what we can't on our own. Always. But I think sometimes we fail to recognize that He is always with us because He is not physically by our sides; however, He does send us friends and family to comfort us and lift us up. He sends His spirit to tell you that He loves you, that He's there for you. He's given you the trees, the sun, the shade, the water, the flowers, all for you. He created it all, under the direction of our Father, for you and I because He loves us with a perfect, eternal love. He loves us too much to leave us. John 14:18 contains an everlasting promise: "I will not leave you comfortless; I will come to you."

Our Lord and Savior is always, everlastingly, eternally, forever with us. Along the way, He is teaching us, guiding us, strengthening us, and cheering us on. Please don't ever doubt that.
