Sometimes it is hard to find the silver lining, to recognize the gifts and miracles that we have every day (yes, even on the days where the world has seemingly united against us to make us miserable). There are days where things are tough, where things just don't go the way we would have hoped. Those are the days where we feel insignificant, where we can't do anything right, where we don't fit in, where we can't fake a smile.
These days are the storms and rains of life. And they will always come. But remember that there is always a calm after the storm. There is sunshine after rain. Our storms and our rains will subside, though not always when we expect them to. These are our trials, our tests in life.
"[These] are [the] times when you simply have to righteously hang on and outlast the devil until his depressive spirit leaves you...To press on in noble endeavors, even while surrounded by a cloud of depression, will eventually bring you out on top into the sunshine."
-Ezra Taft Benson
