Word of the Week: Self

How do you see yourself? Are you beautiful? Are you strong? Are you courageous? Are you smart? Are you creative? Are you capable? Are you talented?

One of the hardest things in this life is seeing ourselves for who we really are. We get so caught up in those little flaws that only we can see, like the frizziness of our hair. We can't see ourselves because we keep telling ourselves that we aren't as beautiful as her, we aren't as strong as her, we're not as courageous, as smart, as creative, as capable, as talented as her.
And yet, we are.

"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world...we were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone."
             -Marianne Williamson

You, flaws included, are worth dying for. And don't you dare tell yourself you're not. You have a Savior, an Elder Brother who died for you. Don't forget that.

Don't forget.

You. Are. Worth. Everything.
