Word of the Week: Peace

That feeling you get after a book ends the way you had hoped. The feeling you get when things fall into place. The feeling you get when the Lord speaks to you. A feeling of relief, of hope, of joy, of strength, of calm. It's the eye of the storm or the one who stands out to make a difference.

Peace is the Lord's way of telling you that everything is going to be okay. It's a comfort and a joy. We embrace peace and delight in it's comfort. When we feel peace, we know that we are on the right path, we know that the Lord is smiling down on us, we know that we can make it back home. It's a loving arm, it's a joyful laugh, it's a humble prayer. We can find peace where we least expect it, like in the midst of trials. We can find peace when we ask for it. We can find peace in our families and friends. We have to seek it out sometimes, but we will find peace.

"Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid."
          -John 14: 27
